OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course delegates will: -
- Understand the requirements of the legislation and standards applicable to scaffolding and the employer’s duties and responsibilities.
- Understand the basic scaffold components and the principal of erection and configuration.
- Traditional Tube & Fitting TG20 Compliant Scaffolds
- Be able to manage the selection and use of scaffolds.
- Complete a scaffold inspection to identify faults
- Complete an inspection report.
Delegates must be able to work at Height and must be physically fit to climb ladders and access a scaffold.
ACHIEVEMENT MEASUREMENT
Delegates will be expected to identify at least 100% of the “built-in” faults on the main scaffolding at the final inspection on the pre-erected scaffold; and achieve at least 80% in the written knowledge retention test papers.
DELIVERY METHOD
This course will be delivered using a mixture of presentation methods, sample components, use of videos, and practical exercises on pre-erected scaffolds.
